Position Summary: As the Assistant Financial Aid Director, you will be a driving force behind our Financial Aid Department, responsible for overseeing and administering Title IV programs while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies and procedures. Your role will be responsible for advising students and their families.

Responsibilities

Your Role and Responsibilities:

* Advise prospective students of all funding sources available to students attending Concorde Career College and provide each prospective student an introduction to financial aid during the student's tour
* Assist students with questions regarding the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the Master Promissory Note for the Federal Subsidized, Federal Unsubsidized and Federal PLUS loans
* Check NSLDS for status of prospective student loans
* Conduct entrance interviews and testing and exit interviews and testing as required by Title IV regulation and Concorde Career College
* Complete re-entry and subsequent packaging accurately
* Assist Director of Financial Aid in Final Review of completed files
* Assist Director of Financial Aid with clearing exceptions reports
* Assist Director of Financial Aid with preparing reports for Campus President and Campus Support Center
* Know and comply with all applicable Federal regulations/procedures per Federal Student Aid Handbook
* Perform other duties related to student financial aid efforts as assigned



Qualifications

Your Qualifications:

* Associate degree or 5 years of experience

* Bachelor's degree preferred
* 3 years of Title IV administration required
* Familiar with VA benefits
* Knowledge of current federal financial aid regulations with operational knowledge of needs analysis and packaging
* Supervisory experience preferred

* Must not currently be in Default on any Federal Student Loans
* Must be highly organized and willing to rearrange priorities to meet changing workload needs and deadline demands
