Registrar of Voters

The County of Santa Clara is seeking a Registrar of Voters to oversee voter registration and election operations for one of the most diverse regions in California! As the Registrar of Voters, you’ll navigate the complexities of election laws, ensure accuracy in voter registration and election results, and lead a team dedicated to upholding democracy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to implement innovative election strategies, enhance voter engagement, and strengthen public trust in the electoral process.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

·       Oversee large-scale elections with integrity and transparency

·       Ensure every eligible voter has access to the ballot

·       Lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced, high-impact environment

Required Background and Experience:
Education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Public Administration, or a related field, and five years of recent administrative or managerial experience in a position that requires the strict application of laws to business processes, at least two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity. Experience in administering voter registration or election activity at the local or statewide level is highly desirable.
