Chicago, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job The Division of Breast Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant / Associate Professor / Professor. Responsibilities include providing surgical services at Northwestern Medicine's downtown Chicago location. This role will include training (medical students, residents, and breast surgery fellows), taking breast call, rounding and caring for pre-op and post-op patients in concert with the clinical team, and responding to daily local consultation requests and referrals. The candidate will play a vital role in the growth and coordination of care and other distinctive programming throughout our cancer program and will have significant opportunities for leadership development throughout the Northwestern Medicine system. This position will include a faculty appointment within the Division of Breast Surgery of Northwestern University. This position offers an opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary oncology team to care for inpatients at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and outpatients at the Lynn Sage Comprehensive Breast Center of Northwestern Medicine. Both basic science and clinical research opportunities are available. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving team of clinicians, educators, and researchers. Northwestern Medicine is one of the premier academic medical systems in the nation. Furthermore, the Cancer service line is highly ranked nationally, and the Department of Surgery is positioned among the leading surgery departments for receipt of NIH funding. Qualified candidates will have a strong background in breast disease, including oncology and surgery, with a preference for candidates with interest and experience in breast surgery. Qualified candidates will also have completed an ACGME-accredited complex surgical oncology fellowship program, board-eligible or board-certified surgeon specializing in breast surgery, or SSO Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship. Physicians in this position may participate in academic programs of the Feinberg School of Medicine, including educational programs (e.g., training, preceptorship, mentoring, etc.) or research programs (e.g., participation in clinical trials, referring patients for clinical trials, etc.). The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled. The expected base pay range for this position is $360,000-$440,000. Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
