PURPOSE

The College Recruitment Specialist plays an essential role in fueling Builders FirstSource's growth by finding extraordinary early talent and is responsible for full-cycle recruitment process for early talent. Assists in the design and implementation of recruiting strategies to provide a qualified and diverse entry-level candidate pool. Ensures hiring manager and team preparedness during the interview process and that interviews are conducted efficiently and professionally. Helps promote the Builders FirstSource brand at multiple campuses across the country.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Will be responsible for the successful deployment of our annual Summer Internship Program.
  • Administer the day to day operations of the recruitment programs and deliverables for campus hiring, corporate recruitment, special recruitment projects, and other programs/projects.
  • Research and develop standard methodology for recruitment programs.
  • Partner with operations to help position Builders FirstSource as an Employer of Choice. Work with business leaders to respond to changing business needs and improve existing programs as well as develop new programs to attract new skill sets.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to hiring managers to help them select candidates based on appropriate data gathering, skills sets and culture fit.
  • Ensure compliance with all company standards and employment laws.
  • Evaluate skill level and expertise and keep candidates continually informed with quality communications throughout the hiring process.
  • Report on program metrics to measure success and estimate the effectiveness of future/planned programs.
  • Develop core campus relationships to include liaising and managing communications with campus career services offices, partnering with internal business professionals to build effective recruitment teams, and attending various campus events.
  • Act as primary representative for organization at campus recruitment events, career fairs, and other public events as designated.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing or a related field of study.
  • 3+ years of experience in Recruiting, Campus/University Recruiting, or Human Resources.
  • Previous experience working in a large corporate college recruiting program preferred.

  • Highly developed analytical and technical skills required including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Outstanding ability to communicate effectively in a positive fashion both verbally and in writing.

  • Must be a self-starter and a team player.
  • Balance of creativity and drive along with interpersonal and analytical skills.

  • Proven ability to create and utilize metrics to measure effectiveness and the impact of campus recruiting efforts.

  • Subject to both typical office environment and outside locations with temperature and weather variations.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds.
