Maintenance Mechanic

Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic provides electrical and mechanical support for assigned buildings. This role has wide-ranging responsibilities, including low/medium voltage power, HVAC systems and controls, mechanical system troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, emergency response, general maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, and vendor management. Primary responsibilities include electrical/mechanical support for power systems, lighting systems and controls, and other facility subsystems. This position requires on-call availability for after-hours emergencies.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly facility repairs and maintenance
  • Complete facility preventive maintenance and troubleshoot repairs
  • Work with vendors and use JLL Corrigo Work Order system
  • Maintain compliance with state, county, and city ordinances, codes, and laws
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and policies for hazardous materials handling
  • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs
  • Perform general interior maintenance and special tasks (e.g., painting, locksmith work)
  • Maintain lighting systems
  • Assist operations team in building and equipment maintenance and repair
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs
  • Move office furniture, machinery, and equipment as requested
  • Conduct facility inspections and report on conditions
  • Maintain good housekeeping and identify safety hazards

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Completion of applicable technical training program (desirable)
  • Minimum one year of experience in general building repair, maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrical work
  • Experience with power tools, cutting equipment, and forklift operations

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Valid state driver's license

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
  • Ability to comply with Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed policies and procedures

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and overhead work
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs
  • Use ladders up to 30 ft and work from heights
  • Climb a ladder with a 300-lb weight limit while carrying a 20-lb tool bag

Note: Tools required to perform assigned work scope will be provided.
