This role is for future growth and business demands.

In this position you will establish and maintain forecasts for defined brands and products, based on industry-best practices, using industry-standard tools for enhanced efficiency and reliability, and in close collaboration with Finance, Market Intelligence, and other functions. This role requires strong quantitative/ financial modelling skills, sound methodological and conceptual understanding, as well as experience in forecasting, market intelligence, and finance. The incumbent will be expected to communicate and influence US senior leadership on the full US Specialty forecast requiring in-depth understanding of the commercial business and strategic assumptions unpinning the forecast.

The Director will collaborate and partner effectively with various stakeholders across the local and global enterprise, including Marketing, Insights & Analytics, Sales, Finance, Supply, Market Access, and Technology teams.

The role is responsible for but not limited to the following.

  • Develop, implement, and manage demand forecasting models to predict demand for marketed products across the short-term horizon and in support of long-range planning. Ensure forecasts are aligned with strategic business objectives and growth plans.
  • Develop, document, and maintain US Forecasts for priority organic pipeline assets across therapy and disease areas and for launch planning
  • Evaluate US market trends, competitor product landscape and competitive positioning as part of US Forecast development
  • Ensure accuracy of forecasts through industry standard accuracy and bias metrics; identify corrective actions as appropriate
  • Provide brand, therapeutic area and environmental insights to the Commercial organization
  • Articulate and document assumptions and risks in suitable repository and for select stakeholder information and alignment
  • Support US financial submissions and quarterly earnings call, as needed
  • Collaborate with other staff within the Forecasting, Analytics and Finance functions in modeling, visualizing, and pressure-testing scenarios, projections, and assumptions
  • Develop and lead small team of forecasting professionals to be recognized as top-tier in the industry; Provide hands-on coaching and direction to forecasters

Why You?

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS
  • 5+ years of professional experience, of which the most recent three years at GSK, in a peer company of GSK's, or in a management consulting firm, with focus on Forecasting, Finance, or Analytics roles in the BioPharm industry
  • Knowledge and experience with GSK U.S. Pharma's therapeutic areas of commercialization particularly in Oncology or Specialty

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Business (MBA), in Science (M.Sc) (incl. Statistics, Computer Sciences and Operations Research, or in Finance/ Economics (M. Econ.) or related.
  • Expertise in demand forecasting methodologies (including patient and projection-based modeling), advanced analytics, and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Communication and presentation skills as evidenced through experience leading senior management presentations, conference presentations, and/or publications
  • Experience with managing, coaching, and developing a direct team and leading through others.
  • Proven and advanced collaboration skills, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Strong proficiency in demand forecasting tools, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), data analysis software and presentation programs (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft ThinkCell etc).
  • Experience with machine learning or AI-driven forecasting tools and GenAI tools driving productivity and creativity.
