Collaboration with the Enterprise sales team and peers is key to identifying project requirements, define/source KPIs, understand performance, highlight data driven insights and enrich client presentations with data visualizations. We are seeking an analytical thinker who, through critical analysis, can provide insightful performance data to our largest and most complex enterprise clients to help create strategies for all facets of their business.

What You'll Do:

This position will be responsible for translating internal and external business questions into actionable recommendations while looking for efficiencies in product adoption and usage. They will support the Director of Sales Strategy & Analytics in implementing analytics to support the Enterprise sales team. To build this type of customized output, the Senior Analyst will engage internal clients to gain an understanding of the project requirements and client needs/goals. Strong communication skills, business acumen and strategic thinking will be important as you will regularly communicate/present findings and recommendations to internal key stakeholders. Your technical skills in advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau and Power BI will need to be top notch. In this role, you will report to the Director of Sales Strategy & Analytics.

  • Proactively gather, analyze, and derive meaning from data to develop key insights that can be leveraged to make performance recommendations during client conversations and presentations.
  • Lead the creation and enhancement of consistent and repeatable datasets that support the Enterprise Sales team's ability to enrich their client's experience, leveraging the Snowflake platform and any code/logic that currently exists.
  • Arm client facing team members with key insights that can be leveraged to make performance recommendations during client conversations and face to face meetings.
  • Discern and access best internal/external data sources to feed analytical models and performance reporting to establish comparisons to industry, market and peer group trends.
  • Translate complex business challenges into simple communications/client stories using a combination of data-based and visual story telling (PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) skills to help the team communicate insightful analyses quickly and accurately.
  • Partner with analytic peers across Cox Automotive to deliver a seamless view of client including performance and solution adoption information.
  • Prioritize, escalate and deliver on work using a logical and methodical process.
  • Prototype new, innovative analytic solutions, and work with cross-functional team members to move vetted solutions to production as needed
  • Present to business owners, Executive leadership and various audiences at a proper level, using a combination of data-based and visual story telling (PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, charts, graphs, tables, etc.)
  • Continuous learning and training to stay current on industry trends and data analytic innovations including capabilities to translate metrics into usable client insights.

Who You Are

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 4 years of direct experience with analytics, reporting, data mining, advanced analytical modeling, and data visualization, ideally in a data/business analysis role. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years' experience in a related field
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Experience working with large datasets from different sources of data.
  • Draw connections between data metrics and potential business drivers.
  • Quantitative experience and ability to build reporting and visualizations which highlight client and Cox Automotive performance.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Explain complex concepts using reporting and data visualization tools
  • Capability of presenting analysis and insights to leadership.
  • Understand and influence business partners
  • Ability to be successful within a fast paced, complex, matrixed environment
  • Self-starter - work independently with minimal direction or oversight
  • Strong organization skills to properly plan, prioritize and deliver results.


Preferred:

  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics or Economics
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Python and GitHub
  • Passion for and understanding of the automotive industry and ecosystem

USD 79,400.00 - 119,000.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $79,400.00 - $119,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
