Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking multiple candidates to support the U.S. Army Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD). Specific positions include Principal Engineer, Senior Engineer, Engineer, Senior Analyst, and Journeyman Analyst. These positions are based in Huntsville, AL, and are contingent upon contract award. Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide technical support services, systems engineering, and other acquisition-related support services to SRD ensuring program compliance with regulations.
- Provide technical expertise to interface and coordinate with the Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), the Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Aviation & Missile Center, the Program Executive Office (PEO) Aviation, the FAA and other Government aviation agencies, and other aviation contractors.
- Perform analysis, review, evaluation/recommendation, and/or contributions to Airworthiness Releases.
- Perform System Safety Activities (e.g. risk assessments, risk determinations, accident investigations, safety boards, and System Safety Working Groups (SSWGs)).
- Perform and implement coordination of system engineering activities for modifications, out-of-production systems, and major items.
- Provide Systems Engineering for the US Army and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) aircraft.
- Complete tasks as an Action Officer or Technical Support in the Task Tracking System.
- Provide assessment of airframe damage and coordination of repairs with structural engineers.
- Provide assessment of aircraft modification requests and technical engineering guidance.
- Coordinate with SRD functionals, SRD systems divisions, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the aircraft and equipment.
- Coordinate with Liaison Engineers (LEs) at depot and field levels to facilitate repairs, modifications, and specific inquiries that Army Units would have regarding specific aircraft.
- Provide recommended repairs from the functional support and Boeing.
- Provide Structural Analysis in support of Maintenance Engineering Calls (MEC).
- Provide Systems Engineering research.
- Research technical manuals such as DMWRs, the IETM, OEM documentation, drawings, AWRs, and previous dispositions (taskers)
- Provide review and contributions to Aviation Maintenance Action Message (AMAM).
- Provide an independent structural assessment of aircraft damage.
Required Experience:
- Experience and technical knowledge of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations of fixed-wing aircraft.
- BS Degree and 20 years of experience (Principal Engineer), 15 years of experience (Senior Engineer), or 10 years of experience (Engineer).
- BS/BA Degree and 8 years of experience, or HS Diploma and 11 years of experience (Senior Analyst). BS/BA Degree and 3 years of experience, or HS Diploma and 6 years of experience (Journeyman Analyst).
- Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time. US travel only.
