Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer with our client in the financial Industry located in Chandler, AZ . This is a 18+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Consult on and participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering, contributing to large-scale planning for security-related deliverables Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges, requiring an in-depth evaluation of security threats and risk factors Contribute to the resolution of security-related issues by providing technical expertise and consulting with development team Collaborate with client personnel to implement secure coding best practices and remediation strategies Perform DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing) and SAST (Static Analysis Software Testing) to identify vulnerabilities Utilize Black Duck and other security tools to conduct software composition analysis and manage open-source security risks Provide security consulting on data access, integrity, confidentiality, and business continuity risks Support secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies to enhance security in application development Work closely with development teams to remediate security defects and provide hands-on coding guidance Assess potential and current security threats through comprehensive threat analysis Communicate effectively with geographically dispersed teams, self-managing complex security issues and negotiating solutions Required Qualifications: 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education 3+ years of experience as an Application Security Engineer with hands-on secure coding expertise Experience conducting DAST, SAST, and Software Composition Analysis (SCA) using tools like Black Duck Experience in security consulting, particularly on complex issues related to data access, integrity, and confidentiality Technical expertise in working with development teams on security defect remediation. Application security experience in the banking or financial services industry Knowledge and experience with bug bars and security risk assessments Pay Range: $44-54 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
