Sr. Software Engineer We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer with 6 to 8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS SQL Spring Boot Angular JS Java JavaScript and MySQL. This role requires experience in the Payer domain. The work model is hybrid and the shift is day. No travel is required. Location: Norfolk - VA USA (Hybrid) You must be legally authorized to work in USA without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using AWS SQL Spring Boot Angular JS Java JavaScript and MySQL. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features. * Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications. * Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. * Help maintain code quality organization and automation. * Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. * Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. * Implement best practices for software development and ensure adherence to coding standards. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. * Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process. * Ensure that all solutions are scalable, maintainable and secure. * Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide regular updates on project progress. Qualifications: * Must have strong experience with AWS SQL Spring Boot Angular JS Java JavaScript and MySQL. * Must have domain expertise in Payer. * Should have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Should have the ability to work in a hybrid work model. * Should have strong communication and collaboration skills. * Should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until 3/24//2025. The annual salary for this position is between $68,000 - $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
