The SEI Wealth Platform has a challenging career opportunity for a Senior Technical Lead. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in software development, experience leading agile teams, expertise in data platforms and cloud-based technologies, and expand existing development skills through technical project work. You should be able to deliver individual code as well as technically lead a team of developers; and have the ability to switch context quickly and efficiently with project managers, database engineers, technical operations and other platform personnel. What you will do: Develop and design technical solutions based on reading and understanding business and functional requirements following the Agile process Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines and workflows using Snowflake, including secure views, cluster key optimization, pruning techniques, and data-sharing capabilities. Implement dimensional modeling techniques to optimize data organization for analytics and business intelligence reporting. Create, schedule, and manage workflows with Airflow for seamless job orchestration and automation of reliable and efficient ELT pipelines. Implement DBT to build and maintain incremental views for reporting and analytics. Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to provide insights and business intelligence based on various data sources. Integrate Power BI with Snowflake and develop data models and DAX calculations to provide business users with actionable insights. Apply data governance best practices, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance with enterprise standards. Produce high-quality code to meet all project deadlines and ensuring the functionality matches the requirements Analyze and resolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle, coordinating changes with project team leaders and cross-work team members Provide technical leadership to project team members and responding to inquiries regarding errors or questions about programs Collaborate with data architects, technical leads, project managers, and other stakeholders to address scheduling and technical issues. Suggest and implement process improvements for estimating development and testing processes. Responsible for insuring team designs and delivers code in alignment with published SEI & industry standards. Provide technical problem resolution and application support, as required What we need from you: BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or another related field or equivalent. Strong expertise in Snowflake, including query tuning, cluster keys, pruning, secure views, and data-sharing concepts. Proficiency in Python, DBT and Airflow for building and maintaining data transformation logic and incremental views for reporting tool on cloud. Experience on building transformation logic code based on mapping to migrate data from one system to another system or build reports. A minimum of 10 years of prior work experience with an application development organization; must demonstrate experience delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation Alternatively, we will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field; plus 5 years of experience reflecting ability in the skill sets required. A minimum of 2 years of experience working on multi-tiered applications that are designed, developed and delivered as cloud- based solutions: Designing and developing Cloud Native applications, Creating microservices applications using technologies such as REST, JSON, Spring Boot and Java Deploying and configuring well performing Cloud Native applications Experience with: Power BI development, creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations Writing DAX expressions and optimizing Power BI performance Relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server Unstructured data and persistence model such as MongoDB, Snowflake DevOps toolsets for versioning, containers, such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins & GitLab ORM tools (Hibernate, JPA) Event/data streaming platform, such as Kafka UI Web development framework experience Additional knowledge and/or experience desired: Development experience in the financial services industry including banking, wealth management, investment management, asset data and investment processing Possesses Azure or AWS certifications Test Driven Development Application migrations to the cloud CI/CD and DevOps concepts, tools like Ansible, Terraform and library management tools like Artifactory Identity Technologies (OAuth, Azure AD, AWS IAM, OKTA, Ping) What we would like from you: Excellent communication skills Strong system and technical analysis skills Self-motivation with an ability to prioritize multiple tasks Ability to develop a strong internal network across the platform Excellent collaboration, communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Ability to think creatively and seek optimum solutions Ability to grasp loosely defined concepts and transform them into tangible results and key deliverables Very strong problem-solving skills Diagnostic skills with the ability to analyze technical, business and financial issues and options Ability to infer from previous examples, willingness to understand how an application is put together Action-oriented, with the ability to quickly deal with change Someone who will embody our SEI Values of courage, integrity, collaboration, inclusion, connection and fun.
