                    We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Sr. Accounting Lead to lead our accounting efforts and oversee all aspects of financial management for our multi-faceted family-owned businesses. This role will require an individual with a deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), strong expertise in financial reporting and planning, and exceptional leadership skills to guide a dynamic accounting team. As the Sr. Accounting Lead, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring executive-level integration of financial strategies, and overseeing key financial processes across the organization.

                    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:



                    • Ensure all accounting practices are in strict adherence to GAAP and internal policies
                    • Collaborate with leadership to develop budgets, financial forecasts, and financial plans. Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate monthly closings, the review of account balances, and reconciliation of accounts
                    • Lead initiatives to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency. Implement and execute office policies and procedures with a focus on enhancing overall accounting workflow
                    • Develop budgets and plans with leadership including timely and accurate monthly closings, review of account balances and the reconciliation of accounts
                    • Establish, monitor, and enforce procedures for the accurate and organized retention of financial records
                    • Oversee the processing of key financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, depreciation and amortization. Ensure all related records are maintained accurately and in accordance with company policy
                    • Audit accounting processes, controls, and procedures to ensure their effectiveness and compliance. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions where necessary
                    • Safeguard the security, integrity, and confidentiality of financial data, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations
                    • Coordinate the annual external audit with external audit partners. Work closely with auditors to ensure compliance and resolve any audit-related issues in a timely manner
                    • Lead accounting team members daily activities, providing guidance and support for staff
                    • Administer internal L10 meetings and result tracking according to EOS
                    • Execute the integration of financials with broader enterprise companies
                    • Streamline processes within the current Transportation Management System (TMS)


                      Education:



                      • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related.


                      Experience/Training:



                      • 5 years work related experience.
                      • Strong proficiency with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
                      • Highly organized
                      • Meet high quality standards on a regular basis.
                      • Ability to motivate others in order to increase productivity.
                      • Trucking and/or transportation experience preferred


                      Technology/Equipment:



                      • Excellent PC skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
                      • Excel expert level knowledge preferred

                      WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

                      The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $78,945 and $100,530 annually. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:



                      1. Experience and qualifications: The depth of relevant experience and specific skills you bring to the position.
                      2. Education and certifications: Any additional qualifications that enhance your ability to succeed in the role.
                      3. Market and industry benchmarks: We compare compensation packages with industry standards to ensure we are competitive.
                      4. Internal equity: We strive to maintain pay equity across the organization to ensure fairness for all teammates performing similar work.
