LFS, Inc. was established in 1967 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods. Our corporate headquarters is in Bellingham, WA and we have three year-round locations in Washington State: Bellingham, Seattle, and Poulsbo. LFS also has five year-round locations in Alaska: Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer (Kachemak Gear Shed), and Sitka; and twoseasonal locations in Dillingham and Naknek. While our core business is supplying the commercial fishing industry, we have evolved to include industrial and sports netting sales, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale/industrial sales, recreational marine and outdoor sales, and internet sales.

Job Summary:Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products by performing the following duties:

Essential Functions:

  • Loads and unloads containers with freight and/or finished goods.
  • Assist with all shipping, receiving, and inventory organization within the warehouse space
  • Able to perform physical job in fast paced environment.
  • Uses computer and bar codes reader to scan materials
  • Experience in operating man and forklifts, shrink wrap machine and other normal warehouse equipment (Forklift certified/or can be trained to be certified)
  • Have valid driver's license
  • Have basic knowledge of all aspects of warehousing, receiving, shipping and inventory control
  • Performs physical inventories, cycle counts and aids in qualitycontrol.

This is a full time year round benefited position.

No housing or transportation is provided.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred education and experience:

Must be forklift certified; or able to become forklift certified.

Must have valid US issued Driver's License

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.The employee moves objects,regularly up to 10 pounds,frequently up to 25 poundsoccasionally up to 50 pounds.
