SANITATION LUMPER POSITION

This position is responsible for off-loading product at the receiving point for inbound freight, securely placing it on a pallet with accuracy and quality. McLane promotes earning, learning, and living a great life. We are a team, and we want to work with you. So, here's the details:

• Pay rate: $19.50 per hour.
• SHIFT: Monday- Friday 1:00am - 9:30am

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
A teammate in this position must have the ability to:

  • Read breakdown sheet.
  • Unload product from the trailer.
  • Sort and place correct quantities of product onto pallet, down or up-stacking following product placement directions.
  • Stack product to ensure it is not damaged in any way.
  • Move product to designated dock area using power equipment.
  • Use electric pallet jack to move pallets from trailer.
  • Use slip-sheet, clamp device, or forklift where necessary.
  • Shrink wrap and or tape product to prepare it for warehouse racking location.
  • Change battery in power equipment using required personal protective equipment.
  • Perform pre and post shift check on equipment and report needed repairs to supervisor/maintenance personnel.
  • Identify damaged product and notify appropriate personnel in order to prevent damaged product form entering the warehouse.
  • Perform daily sanitation including sorting pallets, dusting, sweeping, mopping, etc...
  
  
  
  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work in warm and cold temperature conditions that may range from 34 degrees to 100 degrees F.
  • Material Handling Experience.
  • Be able to follow direction and work independently.
  • Be able to be trained /certified on pallet jack within 30 days after hire.
  • Be able to successfully pass a physical capabilities test, drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, grasp and reach above the head continuously for period of two hours or more.
  • The environment encompasses all areas of a Distribution Center.
  • Closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times.
