ACARA Solutions and our client in Manassas, VA have a contract-to-hire position available

Software Engineer
2+ years of experience

Software Engineer for the Common Weapon Launcher and Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing and developing software supporting the U.S. Navy's platforms within the Tactical.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with Java.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with C/C++.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with Linux and Bash.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with React and Typescript.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with the Navy's Common Weapon Launcher or Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree.
  • A clear understanding of the software engineering concepts, principles, theories, software development process, and agile methodology.
  • A clear understanding of the software development process with agile experience.
  • Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
