Setup Blow Mold-Machinist CNC Mill

• Repair injection and blow molding tooling and return to original specifications and design
• Presented with basic concept, design and fabricate working part.
• Modify tooling as required by engineering
• Weld tooling and return to proper dimension
• Cut gears to correct tolerances and pitch
• Determine fastest, safest, and most economical way to repair or fabricate a part
• Procure all items needed for projects such as steel, cylinders, etc.
• Order and stock all perishable tooling required in toolroom
• Keep toolroom in a safe, clean, neat and orderly condition, and maintain all toolroom machines in good repair
• Maintain detailed records of mold tooling and spare parts
• Maintain print cabnet for reference

EDUCATION:

Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred: hold a journeyman's card and have 10 years' experience or 15 years of experience in lie of journeyman's card

SKILLS:

Knowledgeable and skilled in use of:

• Knowledge and operate a CNC Mill Machine
• Lathe - turning, boring, thread cutting, taper turning, tool post grinding, etc.

• Mills - fly cutting, boring, radius cutting, taper milling, etc.
• Welders - tig, mig, arc, gas
• Surface grinder - flat, angle, radius, special shape grinding, etc.
• Centerless grinders - radius and cylinders

Knowledgeable in:

• Metals - heat treating, able to identify different types of metal (ferrous and nonferrous), determine Rockwell hardness and other properties
• Reading of blueprints
• Drilling, tapping, reaming, etc.
• Occupational hazards and standard safety precautions necessary in work

Proficient in:

• Math - determining angles, sine, and cosine, working knowledge of trigonometry and basic geometry
• Use of measuring instruments micrometers, height gages, gage blocks, sine bars, etc. Able to complete precision work (within ten thousandths of an inch)

Special Qualifications:

• Able to work with minimal direction
• Able to determine job priorities and overall time required to complete task
• Able to perform heavy physical labor as required by job
• Able and willing to work any shift required in a 24-hour period, and on weekends and holidays as required
• Must have personal tools required for position
