UnitedHealthOne ('UHOne') is seeking an Associate Director of Hispanic Initiatives who is fully bilingual in Spanish and English, self-motivated, with excellent strategy, marketing, member experience, and organizational navigation skills. As an Associate Director you are responsible for the growth of our Hispanic and Spanish-dominant membership and their end-to-end experience with UnitedHealthOne. You will develop, implement and supervise delivery of strategic, marketing and capability development initiatives to attract Hispanic members to UHOne, ensuring an end-to-end experience in Spanish is offered, enabling the underlying capabilities, and managing translation services and vendors for UHOne. A successful candidate will have deep knowledge of the Hispanic consumer and their needs, and a well-rounded understanding of a member's end-to-end journey throughout their experience shopping and using insurance. The candidate will have the ability to provide strong business leadership, think analytically, collaborate with stakeholders, communicate effectively and drive to results in a highly matrixed organization.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Leads the development and maintenance of capabilities to support the in-language experience of Spanish-speaking members, including
  • Digital properties, including pre-shop & shop sites, landing pages, agent/broker self-serve portals, etc.
  • Member and broker materials and communications
  • Technology-enabled processes (e.g. enrollment experience in Spanish, fulfilment of Spanish policy kits, etc.)
  • Process and technology enhancements to enable Spanish-speaking membership reports
  • Leads and supports strategy and marketing initiatives to attract Hispanic and Spanish-dominant members, including but not restricted to:
  • Campaign planning and execution, including strategy, development of Hispanic and in-Spanish creative assets, choice of media and reporting
  • Design and development of marketing assets, including websites, landing pages, storefront designs, and others
  • Design and development of member and broker materials, including brochures, fact sheets, trainings, etc.
  • Identification, development and reporting of Hispanic lead-sources
  • Development of external and internal intelligence on the traits and preferences of UHOne's Hispanics prospects and customers
  • Other strategic projects
  • Manages Spanish translation services for UnitedHealthOne
  • Owns vendor relations (procurement, technology reviews, user access, budget, billing) incl. workflow for UHOne functions to request translations
  • Supports large translation projects (new product materials, form filings, marketing campaigns, agent trainings, etc.)
  • Oversees translation quality, brand and legal compliance

Required Qualifications:



  • 7+ years of experience in health insurance in strategy, marketing, digital and/or customer experience roles
  • Solid understanding of the US Health System and the needs of the Hispanic population
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results, mobilizing teams across functions in a highly matrixed organization, with ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity
  • Self-directed and self-motivated with proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deliverables, and meet deadlines
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
