Job Summary
Prevea Health is seeking an enthusiastic Marketing & Communications Intern to effectively support Marketing and Communications operations under the supervision of the Director of Communications and Public Relations. As a Marketing & Communications Intern you will have the opportunity to learn many facets of marketing and communications including copy writing, website and digital tactics, internal communications, social media, events and more.
What you will do
* Assist with social media copywriting and monitoring
* Assist with internal communications including content input for intranet
* Update media contact and distribution lists, and assist with media monitoring and tracking
* Participate in interviews to identify storytelling opportunities for public relations, web and/or social media.
* Assist with writing and proofing educational handouts for patients, web pages, e-newsletters, etc.
* Assist in creation of new or updating existing collateral, web pages or other marketing initiatives
* Assist with email marketing by building, testing and deploying e-newsletters and promotional emails
* Assist with marketing tactics for business partners.
* Business listing creation and management/updates.
Education Qualifications
* Enrolled in a college or university program in Marketing, Communications and/or Public Relations Required
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while remaining calm and professional.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to speak one-on-one and to small groups.
* Ability to gather information and formulate for reporting purposes.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, patients, public, external agencies, and senior level leadership.
* Ability to be flexible and adaptable with work schedule
* Ability to maintain and manage confidential information with discretion.
* Technology experience, to include Office Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
* Desire to learn about healthcare organizations.
