Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director, IS Operational and Service Excellence, the Enterprise Application Analyst works independently to support and maintain information technology solutions, as well as support operational and service excellence activities focused on compliance, process effectiveness and efficiency.

In this role, the candidate will be developing applications (using languages such as Java, Javascript, and frameworks such as springboot and react), interfaces/services (using SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, and HL7), and database solutions (using technologies/platforms such as MS SQLServer/ Oracle, and SQL). Healthcare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

    Communication * Represent projects/requests to Versiti IS management and leadership. * Keep Versiti leadership and customers informed on the status of projects/requests.
  • Documentation Maintenance * Complete deliverables per departmental SOPs. * Maintain Environmental Manual and other work instructions as needed.
  • Information Technology Solutions * Troubleshoot computer equipment and software as needed. * Consult with software and hardware vendors on service issues and for technical support. * Provide tier 2 enterprise application and operational support for Versiti enterprise systems (e.g., Cerner, HistoTrac, Labtest, GeneInsight, etc.) * Complete simple to medium complexity SQL/CCL/Crystal Support for Versiti enterprise systems (e.g., Cerner, HistoTrac) * Serve as Versiti process owner for ancillary solutions, e.g., OnBase, Cherwell, etc.
  • Operational and Service Excellence Support * Participate in the extension of the Cherwell system, as well as system configuration changes and workflow automation, in keeping with departmental change policies and processes. * Complete activities required to ensure organizational / departmental compliance, e.g., annual access review, employee term activities, non-employee management, data, and configuration change management, etc.
  • Customer Assistance and Training * Assist in the development of training materials. * Provide support to, and answer technical questions from, other IS staff.
  • General Duties * Recognize and solve problems related to information technology solutions and systems by carefully identifying, researching, and resolving problems in a timely manner, with a focus on systemic resolution. * Comply with IS policies and procedures while performing day-to-day tasks. * Promote the department's values, guiding principles and customer service philosophy. * Prioritize and manage work efforts to meet the needs of multiple service lines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

  • 4 year degree required
  • MIS (Management Information Systems)/CSCI (Computer Science) degree or related experience preferred

Experience

  • 4-6 years experience in Information Technology, including requirements identification, configuration, query/report development required
  • Experience in query design and development in relational database technologies required
  • Experience in identifying, documenting, and analyzing requirements and translating requirements into system solutions preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to complete activities with high degree of accuracy in compliance with departmental and organizational policies.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision, as well as a member of project teams.
  • Possesses solid customer service experience in dealing with internal staff requests.
  • Possesses well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills with all levels of management and with employees.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to proactively problem-solve, independently researching resolutions, as well as ability to work collaborative with vendor partners to define solutions.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) preferred

Tools and Technology

  • Service Desk ticketing systems. required
  • All Microsoft office products including Office 365 and SharePoint. required
  • Information Technology solutions identified above. required
