Summary: The Associate Director, HCP Marketing - Exparel is responsible for defining, developing, and implementing effective marketing strategies. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to outline the commercial vision, goals, and tactics for the business. Key responsibilities include the development of strategic plans, annual marketing plans, and marketing initiatives to drive business success. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential, as this role requires regular engagement with the salesforce, as well as close collaboration with Sales Operations and Analytics.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned. * Serve as the market and brand expert, setting strategic direction and ensuring execution of marketing campaigns, portfolio development, internal and external education strategies, and customer engagement initiatives. * Align annual and long-range strategies with the global brand strategy to achieve growth, profit, and market share targets. * Develop and distribute scalable assets, tools, marketing campaigns, and best practices that can be localized for maximum impact. * Identify opportunities for education, brand experience, and customer engagement for both internal and external audiences in collaboration with the Medical Education team. * Foster trust and build strong relationships with sales professionals, internal stakeholders, and key opinion leaders (KOLs). * Support the development and management of KOL relationships. * Provide analysis of business performance, brand perception, and competitive landscape, defining mitigating actions to support strategic objectives. * Share marketing intelligence and coach others on market positioning, competitive strengths, and weaknesses. * Partner with Commercial and Medical Learning & Development teams to assess internal training needs and develop relevant content and programs. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, influencing key partnerships to achieve business objectives. * Demonstrate financial acumen by tracking and managing budgets, forecasts, and assumptions. * Work closely with the Analytics team to support data collection, analysis, and reporting. * Oversee and manage participation in relevant conferences and industry events. Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports. Interaction: Will work closely with employees in Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, Medical Education, Medical Affairs, Learning & Development. Clinical, as well as with external constituents and customers.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university, MBA preferred. * 8+ years of work experience required. * 8+ years of pharmaceutical or Orthopedics industry marketing required. * Sales experience in pharmaceutical or Orthopedics industry preferred. The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time (up to several hours straight). The employee will be required to move quickly in OR and other hospital environments.

Pay Transparency
The base pay range for this role in San Francisco, California is $155,000 - $207,000 per year. The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
