The University of Missouri School of Medicine Department of Medical Research Job Description
This position will provide nursing management of clinical research/trials participants in oncology Clinical Trials Office (CTO) in the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. This position is responsible to screen and enroll patients to clinical trials, complete follow-up visits, help manage adverse and serious adverse events, ensuring current and future growth enrollment targets are met while ensuring patient/subject safety and clinical trial risk to patients, investigators, and the institution is managed. Coordinate patient/participant/subject care according to protocol, applicable regulations and ICH E6 R2 Good Clinical Practice guidelines. Screen, recruit potential research subjects in accordance with eligibility requirements and protocols. Responsible for accurate and timely documentation in the source documents and data collection in the case report forms. Work with others in the CTO teams to assure accurate and compliant records. Responsible for collaboration and training of ancillary personnel, staff, and sub-investigators regarding protocol requirements. Be the clinical expert on assigned protocols and disease working groups. Identify quality and performance improvement opportunities, participate development and implementation of actions plans to improve quality. In collaboration with physician investigators, participate in feasibility analyses and program development. Additional other duties as assigned. Shift
8:00AM - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday, with occasional other hours, including nights and weekends, as required by research studies. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing School or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be obtained is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
At least two years nursing experience in Hematology/Oncology strongly preferred. Two years' experience with human subject clinical research process is also preferred. Anticipated Hiring Range
