Applications are invited for a Research Associate position with Dr. Ulrike (Riki) Peters in the Cancer Prevention Program at Fred Hutch.

Responsibilities

Model Development & Bioinformatics Analysis

    Develop predictive models and novel statistical methods and utilize bioinformatics pipelines for comprehensive data analysis.

Applied modeling

  • Apply modeling to clinical cohort data, including data management, variable definition and selection, appropriate handling of missing data among others

Longitudinal analysis

  • Evaluate the most appropriate modeling approaches for the risk prediction analysis on longitudinal data

Publication & Scientific Communication

  • Generate analyses for manuscripts and grant applications.
  • Present research findings at conferences and collaborate on manuscripts.


Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in statistics or biostatistics, or related degree with strong skills in applied statistical methods development, data analysis, and computation.
  • Proven experience in statistical modeling, genomic data analysis, and machine learning, with proficiency in deep learning frameworks
  • Proficiency in programming languages and managing large, complex datasets.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $77,976 to $149,968 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
