Responsibilities

This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the United States.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our Strategic Sourcing team. If you have a passion for strategic sourcing, a track record of managing complex sourcing initiatives, and a drive to optimize sourcing strategies, we invite you to apply. As the Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will play a key role in our strategic sourcing function. Your primary focus will be to execute strategic sourcing strategies that optimize costs and enhance partnerships with internal business units. You will participate in cross-functional teams and foster collaboration to achieve our sourcing objectives.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Sourcing Strategy, Supplier Management, and Contract Negotiation:

  • Collaborate with internal business units to gain a deep understanding of their sourcing needs and priorities.
  • Execute sourcing strategies that align with business objectives while optimizing costs and supplier relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, focusing on collaboration, innovation, and performance improvement.
  • Conduct contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements while mitigating risks.
  • Ensure that all contracts align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
  • Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including renewal, amendments, and dispute resolution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, legal, and other stakeholders, to ensure sourcing needs are met and integrated into broader business plans.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for sourcing and supplier management, facilitating open communication and partnership-building.

Cost Optimization, Risk Management, and Governance:

  • Track strategic and operational KPIs that align with business objectives and focus areas.
  • Execute cost optimization plans for assigned spending categories.
  • Identify and mitigate sourcing risks, implement risk mitigation strategies, and conduct supplier risk assessments.
  • Support governance and third-party risk management framework, proactively identifying risks and providing insights.

Supplier Diversity and Sustainability:

  • Support initiatives to promote supplier diversity and sustainability in the sourcing process.
  • Identify opportunities to engage with diverse suppliers and encourage sustainability practices throughout the supply chain.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field. (Master's degree preferred).
  • 10+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with internal business teams.
  • Deep understanding of sourcing best practices, market trends, and supplier landscape.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, or CIPS are a plus.
