GENERAL FUNCTION

The Accounting Manager is responsible for various function-based accounting activities (e.g. cash, revenue deferrals, recording of legal expenses, etc.). The Accounting Manager also values and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Completes month-end close duties accurately and timely (e.g. recording / approving journal entries, performing variance analysis, etc.).
  • Collaborates and interacts with accounting partners in North America and globally.
  • Identifies, analyzes and concludes on proper accounting for complicated accounting transactions/areas.
  • Provide clear guidance for daily and monthly cash transactions.
  • Prepares and reviews reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts. Analyze balances to ensure they are accurate. Communicates unreconciled items to management.
  • Collaborates directly with internal and external auditors to ensure successful and timely completion of internal audits and quarterly/annual reviews.
  • Reviews and provide feedback on the work of others, as requested.
  • Proactively identifies and implements process improvements as necessary.
  • Creates efficiency and process improvement in cash and banking accounting.
  • Managing an accounting team of 3 and work cross-functionally with other department
  • Special project work as assigned


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • 2+ years experience of managing people.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Experience with SAP and/or Oracle
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to be a self-starter, taking the initiative to solve problems
  • Solid understanding of cash and banking activities
  • Demonstrate the ability and desire to initiate and successfully accomplish personal and business goals
  • Ability to analyze problems, to compile data, to determine facts and reach a logical conclusion
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Constructively challenge the process and take the initiative to search for opportunities to grow, improve and innovate
  • Effective time management, organizational and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Ability to interact professionally with coworkers and management
  • Ability to build strong business relationships in a team environment
  • Excellent leadership and management skills with collaborative working style and ability to work cross functionally to set reasonable project plan, monitor status, remove roadblocks and drive projects through the finish line

  • MBA
  • CPA

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
