Job Description:

Summary

Responsible for the management of Supplier Development, including purchasing, development of current

suppliers, and sourcing new supplies. Also manages department staff to facilitate purchasing.

Essential Functions

This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict

the tasks that may be assigned.

* Manages the supplier network in order to give G3 a competitive advantage with reliable,

innovative, loyal industry leaders as our suppliers. Additionally, delivers the highest quality

possible relative to the price paid, while insuring on-time deliveries.

* Partners with the Quality Department in conducting supplier audits. Issues quarterly report cards

to suppliers in order to help them improve their operations.

* Develops and implements appropriate policies and procedures in order to continuously improve

our company.

* Develops and manages material budgets.

* Responsible for understanding complete supply chain to minimize impact to schedule when

issues arise.

* Develops a successful vision/strategy through strong leadership skills.

* Monitors and ensures achievement of performance goals and objectives either directly or through

subordinate staff.

* Conducts cost improvement programs.

* Leads project management initiatives to support division goals, focusing on metrics, cost savings,

and lean process improvements.

* Develop and implement supply strategies to support vendor managed inventory customers.

* Drive system enhancements and process improvements to identify and implement lean

opportunities, leveraging platforms such as SAP, ORI, PLM, and ORM.

* Oversee inventory management, including safety stock strategy, days of supply optimization, and

obsolescence reduction.

* Works closely with demand to create consistent forecasts and drive Material Requirement

Planning.

Supervisory Responsibilities

* Develops, coaches, and mentors subordinate staff.

* Conducts performance evaluations, recommends salary adjustments, rewards employees or

takes disciplinary action as necessary, addresses complaints and resolves issues.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

* High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.

* Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of supply chain, procurement, operations or finance experience to

include supervisory or managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; Or

Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of G3 supply chain, procurement, operations or finance

experience to include supervisory or managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of

responsibility; Or High school diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of

supply chain, procurement, operations or finance experience to include supervisory or managerial

experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; Or High school diploma or state-issued

equivalency certificate plus 8 years of G3 supply chain, procurement, operations or finance

experience to include supervisory or managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of

responsibility.

* Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

* Skilled in the use of MS Word and MS Excel, MS Access and MS Outlook at an intermediate

level.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of supply chain, procurement, operations or finance experience to

include supervisory or managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

* MBA/Master's degree.

* Skilled in communicating a compelling vision of the future.

* Good teamwork skills.

* Experience leading by example, affecting culture change.

* Experience solving problems efficiently and effectively.

* Experience working with all levels and functions within the Company.

* Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting various reports and documents.

* Experience presenting issues clearly and concisely; generate accurate analysis, with a good

understanding of the cause and effect that will occur with each alternative solution both inside and

outside the supply chain.

* Skilled in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid and concise

conclusions and recommendations.

* Experience interpreting an extensive variety of data related to various situations dealing with both

abstract and concrete variables.

* Skilled in responding to common inquiries or complaints from internal customers, regulatory

agencies, or members of the business community.

* Skilled in effectively presenting information to top management, public groups, or boards of

directors.

Compensation



  1. Hiring Salary Range: $100,600- $125,800
  2. Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
