Robotics Engineering Intern

The Robotics Engineering Intern will join a dynamic engineering team to support the Abrasive Process Solutions Group for Saint-Gobain Abrasives, Inc.

Your Day to Day:

• Work with engineers on real customer projects by designing, building, testing, and troubleshooting abrasive processes in a state-of-the-art robotics grinding and polishing lab.
• Perform tasks including component selection, fixture design, prototyping, coding, data analysis, and design of experiments (DOE) to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite to assist with projects.
• Shadow experienced engineers on customer visits to establish objectives, deliverables, and strategies around project requests.
• Create technical presentations on results from running experiments in the lab and present to internal and external stakeholders of the project.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

• Currently pursuing a degree in engineering (mechanical or robotics preferred).
• Highly organized and attentive to detail.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrates a hands-on approach to troubleshooting & solving problems.
• Ability to work independently, self-starter.
• Strong communication skills.
• Curiosity and desire to learn.
• Experience with CAD & 3D Printing preferred.
