The UCF College of Community Innovation and Education brings together academic programs, centers and institutes focused on building stronger communities and elevating the human experience. The Opportunity:

The UCF College of Community Innovation and Education School of Public Administration is currently accepting applications for a Lead Digital Navigator. This role is responsible for driving digital inclusion and supporting individuals in navigating and understanding digital technologies (Cellular tablets, laptops, etc.), and ensuring they have the skills and access to use digital tools effectively. This supervisory role is ideal for a tech-savvy professional passionate about digital equity, community outreach, and program development. Classification Title: Program Coordinator

This is a Contract and Grant (C&G) funded position. Employment is subject to the availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.

Responsibilities:


  • Guide individuals in using digital devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets, computers) and online resources.

  • Offer troubleshooting support for common technical issues such as connectivity problems, account access to telehealth and navigation digital programs offered by Orange County.

  • Supervise digital navigators to ensure adequate training, technical support, and reporting for the Digital Navigator Program.

  • Offer basic training sessions to nonprofits on internet navigation, software use, privacy, and cybersecurity awareness.

  • Conduct assessments to determine clients' current digital skills and identify areas for improvement.

  • Compile feedback and insights from users and nonprofits, regarding the loaned devices, digital literacy and English needs of the underserved residents.

  • Keep accurate records of user interactions and comprehensive documentation repository and knowledge base for common loaner device issues and solutions, ensuring Navigators have access to relevant Information, including any follow-up steps, or additional resources provided.

  • Assist clients in accessing affordable internet services, digital resources, and other technology support programs.

  • Provide recommendations or adjustments needed and report to the program manager and grant PI.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in nonprofit management or similar discipline.

  • Work experience in a research center based in a institute of higher education.

  • Prior experience in coordinating nonprofit programs.

  • Knowledge of digital tools, cybersecurity, and basic troubleshooting.

  • Proficiency with and knowledge of digital tools and resources.

  • Supervisory experience.

  • Excellence in project coordination.
