Job Summary:

The Division of Infectious Diseases (ID) at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking applicants for Advanced Practice Providers to provide clinical care in the Department of Environmental Health & Safety's Occupational Health Clinic on the Anschutz Medical Campus. APP clinicians at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level are encouraged to apply. The position would involve outpatient (clinic) consults for CU Medicine employees and CU Anschutz Medical Campus researchers. The EHS-OH clinic is a busy preventive care outpatient clinic with 2,500 employee patients. As a member of the Infectious Disease Division, the applicant will also have opportunities to participate in teaching and research activities in the division. Key Responsibilities:
- New employee on-boarding
- Occupational exposure consults
- Development of standing orders
- Policy and procedure preparation and development
- Clinical and basic science research protocol review and support.
Work Location: This role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:
|
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor, Senior Instructor or Assistant Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: Instructor:
- Nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant training.
- Eligible or licensed in Colorado.
- Certified to see adults.
- One or more years of post training inpatient/outpatient experience (a year-long hospitalist fellowship also satisfies this requirement)
Sr. Instructor:
- Nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant training.
- Eligible or licensed in Colorado.
- Certified to see adults.
- Four to seven years or more of post training inpatient/outpatient experience (a year-long hospitalist fellowship also satisfies this requirement)
Assistant Professor:
- Nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant training.
- Eligible or licensed in Colorado.
- Certified to see adults.
- Eight years or more of post training inpatient/outpatient experience (a year-long hospitalist fellowship also satisfies this requirement)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in occupational medicine setting background preferred
- Experience in new employee physicals
- Experience in evaluating and treating workplace injuries
- General Internal Medicine knowledge base
- Excellent clinical manner and physical exam skills.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with other medical providers and disciplines, patient-facing clinical support staff, and researchers.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Occupational medicine clinical practice skills
- Collegiality
- Ability to liaison well with outpatient clinical services and the research community
- Teaching and mentoring skills
- Scholarly work according to interest and aptitude

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
This position will be filled at 0.6 FTE. The full 1.0 FTE starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE, (eg, annual pay will be 60% of these ranges): Instructor (0-3 years of experience): $105,000 to $118,000 Sr. Instructor(4-7 years of experience): $119,000 to $129,000 Assistant Professor (8-11 years of experience): $130,000 to $139,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on years of experience and primary site of practice. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
