About the Position The Business Integration and Technology (BIT) Manager leads a team of healthcare IT professionals andtechnological advancement for the department. This position is responsible for establishing goals, strategicplanning, and implementing efficient and cost-effective solutions to manage the workload. The BIT Manageruses healthcare IT operations expertise to optimize the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other patient caresoftware applications. This position reports to the CHS Deputy Director and continuously communicatestechnology issues and updates affecting the department to leadership. We Require
Three years of IT business analysis experience involving project planning, including prior lead, supervisory, or management experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field A combination of post-secondary education and/orjob-related experience may substitute for theminimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Job Contributions
Manages the daily operations of the CHS-BIT team by establishing goals, implementing strategic planning, assigning work, monitoring progress/project milestones, and holding staff accountable for results. Supervises senior analysts and support staff, provides training and mentoring on procedural resources,evaluates performance, conducts regular one-on-one meetings, leads team meetings, approvestimecards, initiates disciplinary action and performance improvement plans, and navigates complex andsensitive issues by providing support and direction. Creates and develops documented internal procedures to ensure training materials are continuouslyupdated for the team's reference; Develops cross-coverage plans using cost-effective and efficientsolutions to timely accomplish the workload as a team. Leads analytical and operational projects to increase efficiency and expedite the accomplishment ofresults; Leads complex process improvement strategies, e.g., streamlines copious spreadsheets byimplementing an internal ticketing system. Oversees various system projects of moderate size and complexity; Ensures the completion and successful implementation, integration, transition, and efficiency of new information systems andexisting system enhancements; Collaborates with various stakeholders to coordinate informationsystem projects, identifies barriers, and leads approved changes from creation to implementation. Develops and manages project scope, cost, schedule, and internal staffing; Resolves procedural,operational, and other project-related problems; Monitors vendor performance by reviewing Statementsof Work (SOWs), tracking project timelines, and reporting status to leadership. Performs quality assurance reviews; Establishes continuous evaluation metrics to identify progress andensure timelines are met; Develops corrective action plans and adjusts the project schedule. Supports business goals and objectives by participating in various project workgroups andattending/leading meetings; Facilitates meetings with stakeholders to support continuous projectactivities; Ensures all sponsors and stakeholders are kept current on project progress. Performs comprehensive technology audits and evaluates software utilization within CHS to determine effectiveness, accuracy, and consistency. Collaborates with clinical leadership and interdisciplinary staff to continually improve the effectivenessof clinical workflows; Promotes optimal use of the EHR system to capture clinically relevant informationfor evaluation and reporting purposes; Ensures the implementation of continuous quality improvementby collaborating with leadership to review current needs, identifying workflow or software issues, andproposing solutions. Plans, organizes, and conducts or participates in technical training programs for various clinical andsupport roles; Identifies staff training needs based on data analysis and works with leadership todevelop appropriate training materials and workflow processes to optimize EHR use; Collaborates withthe education division to create and execute training programs during system implementations,upgrades, and maintenance. Creates and executes communication plans for managed projects by preparing status reports and recommendations for process improvement to leadership. Builds an effective network of internal and external resources to facilitate the provision of technologyservices at the Maricopa County Jails with the unique incarcerated population served in mind. Presents in person at New Employee Orientation (NEO) approximately twice monthly. Leads special projects and performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
Working Conditions Works regularly in a standard office environment, requiring the ability to sit and perform duties on a computerfor long periods of time. At times, may be required to work inside a jail. Must be able to pass a fingerprintbackground check through the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. Selection Procedure
