1. Supervising Cargo Operations:

2. Staff Management:

o Supervise a team of cargo handlers, loaders, and equipment operators.

3. Safety and Compliance:

o Enforce adherence to all safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

o Ensure compliance with airport regulations, airline policies, and industry standards.

4. Coordination and Communication:

o Communicate with Load Master / Load Verifiers to coordinate cargo operations.

o Manage the scheduling and timing of cargo loading and unloading to meet flight schedules.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

o Prepare and submit reports on cargo operations, incidents.

6. Equipment Management:

o Oversee the use and maintenance of cargo handling equipment, such as forklifts, conveyor belts, K-Loaders, tugs and dollies.

o Ensure that equipment is in good working condition and arrange for repairs or replacements as needed.

7. Problem Solving:

o Address and resolve issues that arise during cargo operations, such as delays, equipment malfunctions, or staffing shortages.

o Implement solutions to improve efficiency and safety.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

o Previous experience in ramp operations, preferably in a supervisory role.

Knowledge:

o Familiarity with airport operations, cargo handling procedures, and safety regulations.

o Understanding of aircraft weight and balance requirements.
