Firewall Engineer Charlotte, NC Contract: 18 Months Hybrid: 3 Days In, 2 Days Remote THIS ROLE DOESN'T SUPPORT C2C Description Experience working with Fortinet firewall (Must Have!!)* If they have experience working with Checkpoint Firewalls that would be a plus, but not as big Resource will be doing all of the Rule Base Designs (Stage/Implementation/Design) Experience working with a ticketing system; if Remedy/ServiceNow etc.) Resource will not be doing a lot of in-debt troubleshooting; as they will not be doing hardware upgrades If they have experience working with Palo/Alto or Juniper that would be a plus Certifications: Not a big need but a nice to have Will need for this resource to be able to hit the ground running, as they will be doing a lot of process requests MUST!!! - Candidate has to be a people person as they will be communicating on implementation dates etc The areas of focus for the Firewall Infrastructure role includes design, engineering, and implementation of firewall service requests aligned to the delivery of infrastructure services. As a member of the Network Service Request Fulfillment team, the candidate should possess the ability to analyze and understand a variety of existing, and emerging, business/technical requirements. This position will interface directly with internal stakeholders and external suppliers/providers, architecture, product engineering, product management, and business management. At times, they may interface with various levels of management. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are a must. The candidate must be able to work on their own and successfully in team settings in various sizes and locations. Adherence and use of standards, product sets, templates, systems, and artifacts are important to the success of the individual, the department, and the firm at large.
