DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides clerical and office support within the Division of Licensing and Registration to ensure daily operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. The person in this position is responsible for answering incoming phone calls from customers and providing customer support assistance pertaining to boat registrations, renewals, launch permits, and fishing licenses within the Division. The person in this position will also assist in entering boat registration and title data in the registration and titling system.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Seasonal, full-time employment, 75 hours bi-weekly.
- This position does not receive medical benefits. Paid time off can be used after working 750 regular (non-overtime) hours in each calendar year.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $18.05 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Previous experience processing Pennsylvania boat registration and title applications.
