Responsibilities:





  • Review engineering prints, procedures, customer-specific requirements, and regulatory standards for accuracy and applicability.



  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and address customer-reported defects related to manufacturing processes.



  • Collaborate with Manufacturing to develop and maintain Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP documentation.



  • Support, develop, and maintain Work Instructions (WIs).



  • Utilize quality tools such as Cause and Effect, SPC, and Pareto Charts to analyze and improve process parameters.



  • Oversee corrective actions and manage nonconforming materials affecting manufacturing and support processes.



  • Work closely with production, R&D, quality, and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues and drive improvements.



  • Assist Development teams in implementing new equipment, process enhancements, and design modifications.



  • Lead and support Continuous Improvement projects and quality initiatives.



  • Conduct product and process audits to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.



  • Maintain logs, reports, and process indicators for quality performance tracking.



  • Identify root causes of nonconformances and technical issues, implement effective solutions, and verify resolution.



  • Support the design and development of new processes using continuous improvement methodologies to meet customer requirements.



  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or designee.




Qualifications:

Education:




  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.



  • An Associate's degree with 15+ years of documented work experience may be considered.




Language Skills:




  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, specifications, drawings, production and purchase orders, requisitions, and policies.



  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.




Experience:




  • Minimum of five (5) years of Quality Engineering experience in an automotive or industrial manufacturing setting.




Mathematical Skills:




  • Proficiency in basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) with the ability to review and edit spreadsheet formulas.




Technical Skills:




  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems.



  • Automotive or industrial manufacturing experience preferred.



  • Hands-on, self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and continuously improve processes.



  • Six Sigma Yellow, Green, or Black Belt certification (or equivalent training) preferred.



  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and 6S techniques is a plus.
