We have a hybrid environment, requiring at least 3 days a week in office.This position supports the T-Mobile marketing organization by ensuring T-Mobile creative deliverables are fully cleared to go-live with permissions documented and licensing/terms contracted. The Senior Manager, Business Affairs will lead a team that will focus on the various aspects of using talent (non-union, union/SAG, employee) - booking, contracting, payments, etc., rights and clearances for marketing, production and branded content, negotiating asset usage terms, licensing assets and overseeing the various stages of finalizing contractual paperwork. This role and the team are a bridge between creative teams and the operational aspects of securing rights and licensing assets and talent - within a defined budget, so the ideal candidate possesses a balance of left-brain logic and analysis with right-brain creativity and intuition. Lead a team that assess the desired goals of creative leads and production and offer advice about the best solutions for assets/talent or guide them towards more feasible approaches that are better aligned to project budget or timing. Lead a team that manages vendor and contract management including negotiation, routing through Procurement, Legal and for signatures, opening POs, ensuring payments and ongoing tracking of all contracts. Track expiration dates of assets/talent and proactively report when renewals or relicensing is needed. Work with external agencies to manage renewals of expiring content. Leverage tools and technologies to make business affairs processes more efficient. Introduce new tools and technologies to stay current with industry trends. Monitor workload, productivity, and success metrics and make adjustments to defined goals/objectives as needed. Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree - Marketing, Business Administration, Film/Video Production or related field 10+ years - experience in Business Affairs role at an external creative agency or in-house creative studio 10+ years - experience with intellectual property licensing, clearances and usage rights for talent (union/SAG, non-union, employee) and assets. 10+ years experience - Well versed in the creative development process and stages of full-scale video/photo production. Must know when business affairs-related milestones need to be addressed. Experience developing and implementing creative operations processes and policies; and worked to ensure compliance. * At least 18 years of age The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
