The Process Improvement Specialist:

  • Lead and facilitate Lean Six Sigma projects to identify and eliminate waste, reduce process variation, and improve overall quality.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address process inefficiencies.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on Lean Six Sigma principles to colleagues at all levels.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to monitor and measure the effectiveness of process improvements.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risk and issues.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Implement best practices, standard work, and standard operating procedures to enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Monitor in process and outcome measures and report on progress towards improvement goals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Empath Leaders.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business, Engineering, or a related field. 4 years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in process improvement and project management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
