Position Summary: The Senior Director of Business Operations is a strategic leadership role responsible for optimizing key business lines and programs, procurement processes, and operational efficiencies across multiple departments. This critical position will drive cost savings, foster industry relationships, and ensure business operations align with the company's strategic growth objectives. The Senior Director will lead initiatives across various areas including FBO programs, deicing, equipment procurement, and high-impact projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead negotiations and drive updates to modernize the FBO Program, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
- Partner with internal teams to streamline operations, optimize inventory management, and enhance service delivery through new partnerships.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to uncover cost-saving and revenue-generating opportunities, while improving equipment acquisition processes.
- Address supply chain and logistics challenges, providing innovative solutions to support FBO bulk business operations.
- Lead multiple business units to drive growth and reduce expenses along with scalability.
- Play an integral role in leadership succession, contributing to long-term organizational success by overseeing broader operational and strategic initiatives.
- Represent the company at key industry trade events to increase visibility and enhance relationships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including credit, supply, dispatch, accounting, and legal to ensure seamless business operations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in logistics, procurement, and operations within the business aviation sector.
- 5+ year managing and providing supportive leadership of 5 or more employees, fostering a positive culture
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a leadership role.
- Expertise in FBO programs and operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, multi-faceted projects.
- Strong history of building and maintaining long-term relationships include c-suite level relationships, presentations and negotiations while contributing to organizational growth.
Specific Skills & Knowledge Required:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the aviation industry, including a deep understanding of FBO customer needs and market dynamics regarding ground support equipment and products that include fuel and deice.
- Expertise in CRM systems and proficiency with advanced productivity tools and software including artificial intelligence.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and build consensus at all levels.
- Advanced financial acumen, with the ability to analyze complex financial scenarios and make strategic decisions based on data insights.
- Proven ability to build and interpret financial models to optimize ROI and maintain profitability.
- Skilled in managing diverse product offerings and evaluating financial performance effectively across various variables.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for identifying opportunities to reduce costs and increase operational efficiency.
- Ability to analyze market trends and turn them into actionable, forward-thinking strategies.
Geographic Scope & Travel Requirements:
- This position requires travel, including driving and air travel, to client and vendor sites, industry events, and strategic business meetings.
