The Technical Sales Consultant is responsible for providing technical sales support throughout the sales process for our suite of technology products including practice management software, client communications, payment processing and our prescription management platform. This role must be able to provide support and effectively communicate & translate highly complex technical information with the technology and C-Suite leadership teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate how to best utilize our suite of technology products by working in close partnership with customers and developing a complete understanding of their unique business needs
  • Become a technical expert on the full line of technology products, including integrated software products
  • Contribute expert knowledge and collaborate with the product team to ensure the continued development of products and services needed by our veterinary customers
  • Support the sales team as needed in the sales strategy
  • Provide knowledge and expertise during the preparation of RFPs
  • Collaborate with Strategic Account Managers & Technology Sales Executives to fully understand customer need and opportunity
  • Review customer needs to ensure we bring the most effective solutions and identify cross-sell opportunities
  • Develop knowledge of competitive offerings to best position our products
  • Provide training as needed to internal teams to improve product knowledge of sales teams
  • Attend trade shows and serve as a technical expert on the show floor and in strategic customer meetings

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years SaaS product sales experience
  • Experience interacting and selling to C & VP level customers
  • Proven ability to effectively manage the sales cycle & pipeline in a fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional customer facing and relationship building skills
  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques
  • Must be able to work across the organization to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn the in-depth features and benefits highly complex technology solutions

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role.Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

However, the pay range for this position is as follows. Sales Positions are eligible for a Variable Incentive

$86,300.00-$123,300.00
