Job Title: Food Service Worker I Position Overview: Responsible for performing a variety of food service duties that involve simple and repetitive tasks to assure quality service standards. Works as a team member to provide quality and efficient service to the customer. Location: Johns Hopkins Bayview, 4940 Eastern Avenue Schedule: 30 hours per week and require rotating weekends Pay Rate: $17.50 Per Hour Requirements Assigned station set-up with needed items for service including but not limited to all food and menu items, utensils, paperwork, and service ware. Food and beverages are stored and handled in compliance with all regulations and recommendations for safety and storage. Responsible for proper cleaning and sanitation of station. Displays proper use and knowledge of chemicals, equipment and personal protective equipment. Works in dish room performing assigned function ensuring trays, dishes and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized before returning to service Rolls silverware and lines trays as assigned. Disposes of garbage in appropriate manner. Restocks work area for next meal and maintains par levels according to set standards. Performs related work as required. Physical Requirements Lifting and/or carrying objects weighing more than 50 pounds. Pushing and/or pulling non-motorized equipment (e.g., stretchers, supply carts, mops) weighing over 50 pounds. Stooping and bending. Reaching and grasping objects. Walking and/or standing for extended periods of time. Position requires working in an environment which is subject to drafts, noise, and temperature variations.
