Description

TRISTAR is seeking a HR Specialist (LER) for our upcoming government customer in Crane, IN (Hybrid - On base Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Remote Monday & Friday)

  • The HR Specialist (LER) will provide programmatic oversight and leadership to the LER branch
  • This will include conducting analysis, evaluation, and recommending changes to various LER program(s) of responsibility
Requirements
  • Conduct analysis, evalutation, and recommending changes to the LER Leave and Transfer program to include
  • Provide programmatic oversight and management of the Paid Parental Leave (PPL) program
  • Programmatic oversight and management of the Quarterly Command Awards, which will includes drafting messages for the Commanding
  • Officer (CO) and Technical Director (TD). Also advising COfTD on requirements associated with the program collecting nominations for awards;
  • ordering awards; scheduling awards; and preparing program metrics
  • Drafting messages to the NSWC Crane workforce and Command staff
  • Preparing program metrics on various LER programs

Requirements

  • Ability to manage these programs in their entirety and gain full awareness and understanding of all facets of the LER Branch support
  • Ability to learn new processes and adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures
  • Experience in communicating/advising high-level personnel utilizing email, phone or fax
  • Proficient in Excel at advanced level, Word, Power Point, SharePoint and Teams
  • Strong communications skills with on/off Center calls, emails, applying knowledge of regulations and ability to research for applicable answers/guidance
  • Applying knowledge of regulations and ability to research for applicable answers/guidance
  • Individual must have professional, positive attitude with the ability to work independently and have dependable work ethics
  • MUST be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to successfully pass a T3 background investigation

Education and Certifications:

  • BS typical with 3 years of applicable experience
