As a Senior Software Business Analyst, you'll play a critical role in bridging the gap between software development teams and laboratory professionals, eliciting, analyzing and documenting business requirements to support software development, ensuring that our solutions are intuitive, efficient, and impactful. This professional can work in a 100% remote capacity and must be located in the US.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between laboratory personnel, software development teams and other medical, quality and security stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements.
- Process Analysis & Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand workflows, identify bottlenecks, and propose innovative software-driven solutions.
- Requirement Management: Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable software requirements and user stories that development teams can execute seamlessly.
- Quality Assurance: Partner with QA teams to ensure software aligns with clinical needs and exceeds user expectations through rigorous testing and feedback loops.
- Training & Support: Develop training materials and conduct user onboarding sessions to ensure smooth adoption of new software solutions in laboratory settings.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency, and contribute to the development of best practices for business analysis.
Required Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Work Experience:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
- Experience working with data analytics or business intelligence tools.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- This role requires at least 3 hour overlap with the stakeholders based in US or EU.
Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of software development processes and business systems.
- Familiarity with CAP/CLIA or other regulated laboratory environments.
- Awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Adept at managing competing priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with healthcare standards and regulations (e.g., HL7, FHIR, CLIA) is a plus.
