Monday-Friday (8:00 am - 5:00 pm) *Competitive Pay* - $17.00-20.00 an hour (depending on experience) *Expedited Interviews* - Access to additional Resume support and pre-interview questions *Great Benefits* - Take advantage of a Blue Cross Blue Shield benefits package (Dental, vision, 401k) *Top Local Company *- Join one of the largest employers and hospitals within the Hampton Roads area * * *A day in the role...* * Normal day for the medical receptionist is answering phone calls, checking patients in and out (for audiology), and assisting patients with any questions that they may have. * They work tasks in the EHR systems (AllScripts and EPIC) such as scheduling appointments for patients, faxing orders into the system from providers or that they receive from patients, and handling requests from providers for patient information and records. * They will also be verifying insurance, collecting co-pays, and updating demographics. They get 40-50 referrals per day and the front desk staff goes into those tasks and schedules those patients. * They will also handle physical (paper) chart preps for the providers *Skills and Strengths:* Strong Computer Skills | Great Customer/Patient Service | Medical Terminology | Patient Registration | Medical Insurance Knowledge | Insurance Payer Knowledge | EMR Systems *Core Experience:* * 1+ years of Medial Receptionist Experience * EMR - electronic medical records * Ability to work in a fast paced environment * Strong customer service experience - high volume calls *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
