Pay: $25/hr.

Schedule: 7am - 4pm

Inventory Management Coordinator job responsibilities:



  • Work in an office environment, managing inventory tasks like consumables, chemicals, and samples with accurate control and movement tracking.
  • Conduct inventory functions such as cycle counting, physical inventories, and monitoring slow-moving or dead stock.
  • Provide daily customer service and communicate with clients on inventory management and order fulfillment.
  • Perform purchasing duties like backorder reporting, expediting shipments, managing quotes, and resolving pricing issues.
  • Coordinate shipping activities, including packaging, documentation, and handling hazardous materials.
  • Use various computer systems (SAP, Avantor systems, and customer-specific platforms) for inventory and order management.
  • Maintain safety, performance, and quality standards while updating procedures and creating service efficiency programs.


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED required, with experience in material handling, inventory replenishment, or customer service, cross-referencing and inside sales experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of scientific products and services is beneficial, along with a solid understanding of shipping, inventory, or purchasing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, with intermediate computer skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional, positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • High regard for safety, quality, and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures, including meeting background checks, security clearances, and health and safety requirements.
  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking with strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines independently.
