MOTOR EQUIPMENT REPAIRMAN
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS & PARKS
CITY OF WORCESTER

The Department of Public Works and Parks seeks applicants interested in the full-time position of Motor Equipment Repairman. Typical duties include repair and maintenance functions on a wide variety of municipal vehicles in a modern, clean and well-lit garage. Prior professional experience as a mechanic is required. Ideal candidates will have experience in light, medium and heavy truck repairs, preventative maintenance for both gas and diesel and yellow construction equipment. A CDL license is not required for this role.

Full uniform service provided free of charge plus a $150 annual boot allowance. ASE Certification Stipends: Class 1 - $100/week; Class 2 - $75/week; Class 3 - $50/week. Specialized technical training offered on an ongoing basis. Employees in this classification are eligible for overtime. Shift work may be required.

Starting salary: $31.63 - $38.57 per hour, full-time employment opportunity, with an excellent benefits package.
