Day Co., Inc., a respected paving and excavation company that operates in Maryland and Virginia, is seeking a skilled Quality Control Plant Technician to join our team. A successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our asphalt products. This role involves routine inspections, equipment monitoring, and thorough documentation to maintain compliance with company standards and industry regulations. We prefer candidates who hold a VA plant certification. Job Duties: Conduct regular quality control checks during the asphalt production process. Monitor and calibrate production equipment to ensure optimal performance. Maintain accurate records of test results and production data. Assist with troubleshooting production issues and recommending corrective actions. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations. Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to streamline operations. Report discrepancies and provide feedback to management for continuous improvement. Requirements: Prior experience in quality control or plant operations within the asphalt or construction materials industry preferred. VA plant certification is highly preferred. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to interpret technical documents and quality control guidelines. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Capable of working independently and in a team environment. Flexibility to work either day or night shifts with some weekend shifts. Benefits: Competitive Compensation. 7 Paid Holidays.
