Purpose:

Worley seeks a Senior Flow Assurance Engineering Specialist to work with the Process/Pipeline Team and the wider global flow assurance community. The specialist should be able to use flow analysis tools and technology to provide support to ensure completion of safe and operable design in accordance with clients and project requirements, relevant laws, regulations and codes. Must be familiar with oil and gas surface and subsurface production facilities networks, offshore and onshore processing facilities, hydrocarbon fluid characterizations, and fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.

Responsibilities:



  • Perform transient thermal - hydraulic modeling / simulation work in the support of the design and operation of onshore/offshore facilities including wells, pipelines, risers, separations, and pressure - boosting equipment using OLGA is essential.
  • Perform conventionally and moderately complex engineering, design, analysis, or other technical tasks utilizing current technology and available standards for oil and gas pipeline projects with minimal supervision.
  • Perform steady state and transient multiphase flow simulations, heat transfer and flash calculations on software packages (OLGA, PVTsim & Multiflash).
  • Perform front end studies and estimates.
  • Prepare detail design and calculations involving hydraulics and flow assurance, wall thickness, stress analysis, crossing designs, coating selection, HDD, etc.
  • Develop process drawings, pig trap design - launchers and receivers, pump station layout, pump sizing, compressor station layout, compressor and other gas equipment sizing, meter/M&R station layouts, tank farms and terminals - piping layouts and pipe sizing.
  • Prepare material specifications and procurement documents. Utilize Aspen HYSYS, InControl, and other engineering software.
  • Ability to produce engineering deliverables including Block Flow Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, Heat and Material Balance, P&IDs, line lists and PSV datasheets.
  • Create process simulations, Basis of Design, Process and Control Narratives for well pads and for generic equipment modules.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary cooperation and review with instrumentation, mechanical and electrical groups.
  • Provide process input on mechanical datasheets and drawings. Provide process input on instrumentation datasheets and Cause and Effect.
  • Support foreign offices with well pad design implementation.
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate design of single and multi-well pads.

What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:



  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in an Oil & Gas Process Engineering industry and recognized as a specialist in a specific engineering field on large to mega projects.
  • Hands-on modeling experience using SPS, PIPESIM and HYSYS is essential.
  • Experience with fluid characterization and liquid surge analysis is required.
  • Process design and/or operations support experience is highly regarded.
  • Excellent report-writing and communication skills are essential.
  • Membership with a recognized professional body.
  • Demonstrated experience in the oil and gas industry, with most of this in a multidiscipline design environment Experience in the development processes employed with the oil and gas industry with experience in identification and screening of development concepts and FEED.
  • Familiar with project execution and regulatory issues knowledge and understanding of applicable design standards.


Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized and approved program.
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering and 10+ years of related engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.


Preferred:



  • MSc or PhD is desirable, but not required.


Additional information:



  • Salary: $126,097/annually - $185,436/annually commensurate with experience.
