*Job Title*: Lead Deployment Technician (2 positions, one with a focus in hospitality such as fast food/restaurants and the other focusing in retail)
*Pay*: $45-50/hr *Type*: 6-month contract to hire *Location*: Richardson, TX 75080 *Workplace Type*: On-site (3x/week when not in the field, 75% travel required) *Approximate Start Date*: March 23, 2025 *Job Description*: As a Lead Deployment Technician, you will be the resident expert and consultant for customer environments, such as the Restaurant/Fast Food industries for the Hospitality Lead position and retail for the Retail Lead position. You will provide hardware, software, and structured cabling technical service. Your expertise will be used for support of installation, configuration, and problem resolution in Hospitality/Retail IT/Network/Infrastructure environments. You will complete proper inventory and asset recording processes prior to and during delivery and complete appropriate paperwork as required for customer acceptance. On a regular basis, sometimes with short notice, you will travel to customer locations nationwide, so a flexible work schedule is a must. You will also be responsible for leading and guiding other field technician resources remotely and in person. *Responsibilities*: * Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through effective communication and superior technical support. * Install, configure, and support new hardware and software infrastructure. * Ensure that hardware and software systems are maintained. * Provide technical support to users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence. * Create work instructions, run books, and installation documentation. * Act as the technical liaison between the team and the customer. * Travel to customer locations and possess a flexible work schedule, including overnight stays. * Lead the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of in-store Hospitality/Retail IT products. * Provide detailed, professional assistance to customers for technical inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and resolving concerns related to products and services. * Maintain a strong knowledge of all Hospitality/Retail products, services, warranties, and troubleshooting procedures to provide technicians and customers with accurate information and timely solutions. * Ensure that all customer repairs and installations meet or exceed company standards for quality and performance. * Ensure that all necessary tools and test equipment are available to the field technicians to deliver Five Star Service. * Lead the development of ongoing Hospitality/Retail technical training curriculums for field technicians. * Responsible for your own vehicle with mileage reimbursement for local travel. * Provide own cell phone (monthly company reimbursement). * Other duties as assigned. *Top Skills*: * Install, configure, and support new hardware and software infrastructure. * Ensure that hardware and software systems are maintained. * Provide technical support to users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence. *Qualifications*: * High School diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred. * At least 5 years of strong experience with Hospitality/Retail IT systems, related peripherals, structured cabling, and common software programs and Operating Systems. * 5+ years' experience with desktop/laptop hardware. * 5+ years' experience with structured cabling. * A+ certification. * Expertise in Coax, Copper, Wireless, VOIP, and Fiber technologies. * Ability to travel up to 75% (including weekend departures, traveling during off-hours, and frequent overnight stays). * Experience in leading and directing teams (providing training and support). * Extensive Hospitality/Retail and Point of Sale experience, specifically with Aloha and/or Toast. * Server and Network rack and stack connectivity. * Familiarity with standard Windows O/S and Office suites. * Apple iOS knowledge. * Ability to thoroughly and accurately perform inventory and asset recording and complete paperwork as required by customer, including vendor warranties. * Ability to perform final configuration tasks on customer premises. * Digital Signage experience desired. * Excellent customer service skills. * Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. * Experience in a leadership or supervisory role is highly preferred. * Valid driver's license. * Ability to lift 50 lbs. * Experience being up in a lift and running cables. * Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background screening. *Additional Information*: * Fiber and copper experience needed. * Heavy travel required. Candidate will need to use their own car for driving distances within a 2-hour commute (mileage reimbursed). For travel over 2 hours, air fare will be reimbursed. * Flights and food expenses will be reimbursed, and hotels will be pre-booked. * Leads will go and do the setups, and when not in the field, the candidate will work onsite in the Richardson, TX office 3x/week, assisting with remote troubleshooting. *Business Challenge*: As the company continues to win more work and projects, they need to add two lead deployment technicians to the team. One of these leads must come from a hospitality background (fast food and restaurant, not hotel), and the other must come from a retail background (box stores like Target, Walmart, Marshalls, etc.). This person will oversee installations at new clients and assist the business teams with planning new projects. This is a net new position. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $47.00/hr.
