Job Description: Field Technician (100% Travel) *Job Summary:* We are seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our team. This role requires extensive travel, with assignments lasting a minimum of 6 months at a time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining network devices and infrastructure, including Cat6e cabling, network cabinets, and various network devices. Familiarity with IP cameras, specifically Verkada, is essential.
*Key Responsibilities:* * Install Cat6e cabling for all cameras and network devices, with approximately 35 cables/devices per site. * Replace and install various devices, including: * Printers * Thin Clients * IP Phones * Servers * Switches * Credit Card readers * Monitors, Mouse, and Keyboards * Install network cabinets and racks, including wall-mounted installations when necessary. * Ensure proper setup and configuration of IP cameras, specifically Verkada models. * Maintain and troubleshoot network equipment to ensure optimal performance. *Top Skills - Must Haves:* * *Experience with IP Cameras:* * Installing Verkada cameras. * Experience with IP cameras is required; a 2-day certification session for Verkada will be provided. * *Cat6e Cabling Experience:* * Proven experience in installing, troubleshooting, terminating, and punching down Cat6 cable. * *Network Device Installation:* * Proven experience in replacing printers, thin clients, IP phones, IP cameras, switches, credit card readers, etc. * Installing network cabinets/racks. *Secondary Skills - Nice to Haves:* * Punchdown * Wireless access point * Low voltage * Cable installation * Cable puller * Structured cabling *Employee Value Proposition (EVP):* This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys traveling for their daily role.
