Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with 10 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science and be proficient in various data analysis techniques. This role is hybrid with day shifts and no travel required. The Senior Data Scientist will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decisions and strategies within the company. Responsibilities * Lead the development and implementation of advanced data models and algorithms to solve complex business problems. * Oversee the collection processing and analysis of large datasets to extract meaningful insights. * Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists and analysts. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions. * Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure data integrity and accuracy. * Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends patterns and anomalies. * Design and implement machine learning models to improve business processes and outcomes. * Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations. * Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning technologies. * Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations. * Optimize and fine-tune existing models to enhance their performance and accuracy. * Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. * Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for data science projects. Qualifications * Possess a strong background in data science with at least 7 years of experience. * Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools. * Have experience with machine learning algorithms and model development. * Show expertise in data processing and manipulation using programming languages such as Python or R. * Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. * Display excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders. * Have a solid understanding of data privacy and security regulations. * Be familiar with data visualization tools and techniques. * Show experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members. * Possess a strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. * Have a proactive approach to staying updated with industry trends and advancements. * Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work model. * Show a track record of successfully delivering data-driven solutions that impact business outcomes. #LI-EF1 #CB #Ind123 Applications will be accepted until 14 Mar 2025. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $[ 133,000 - 156,500] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock options, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
