Infrastructure Software Developer - Junior Level

Duties and responsibilities:

• Numerical and statistical analysis of operational processes
• Plan layouts using AutoCAD/Microstation
• Supporting Engineers in developing Reports including:
  • Initial Report development
  • Internet Research
  • Report Assembly
• Supporting Project Activities including:
  • Data, Collection, Review, Manipulation and Analysis
  • Developing PowerPoint presentations
  • Interfacing with engineers and technicians
• Develop simulation models for analyzing processes and layouts using discrete event simulation software and via programming
• Develop and maintaining software package using programming such as C++ and script
• Conduct debugging, validation, verification, output analysis of simulation models
• Document modeling assumptions, process flows, results, and issuing reports
• Perform data collection and analysis as model inputs
• Provide numerical and statistical analysis of various operation processes.
• Interface with technicians, engineers and project managers during data gathering, model development, analysis, reporting, and presentation

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Civil Engineering with a minor in infrastructure engineering, computer science, math, or any other field related to computer software development, engineering, modeling and simulation from an accredited college or university is required.
• Familiar with one or more programming language such as C++, C#, C, Java, Lua etc.
• At least one previous related internship preferred but not required
• All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
• Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.S. and to present the required documentation at hire

Base salary range:

$37 - $43 per hour based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description

Physical requirements:

Sedentary for prolonged period of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
