Join us as our new Process Engineer

You will be part of a team that utilizes a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for food production and alternative proteins through fermentation and downstream processing.As Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with production in fermentation or downstream processing to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will be able to drive process improvements, work with capital projects, and support upscaling of new processes from development.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Owningthe overallfermentation and downstream processing of enzymes.
  • Ensuring products are delivered withina predictable time frame, volume, and quality.
  • Working collaborativelytooptimize the process flowandequipmentandutilizing LEAN manufacturing.
  • Complying withinternal and externalsafety, quality, and food grade standards.
  • Utilizingchange management systemsto update documents and procedures
  • Leading and/or supportingcapital projects and following up on performance and completion.
  • Leading new product introductions and local projects/initiatives.
  • Driving improvements in theoverallfinancial outlook of Novonesis

To succeed you must hold:

  • BS /MS in chemical engineering or related engineering degree required and experience in biotechnology preferred.
  • Ability to move about in the processing areas and be able to climb stairs, ladders, and enter tanks.
  • Must possess visual acuity and physical ability tosupport all functions of the job at all times.
  • Desire to initiate cross functional collaboration with others and communication skills to be successful with all levels of the organization.
  • Passion for learning new skills and developing yourself.
  • Willingness to work on the production floor as well as in the laboratory setting.

Location:This job will be located onsite at Blair, NE.

Expected salary range: $67,000- $87,000 base + bonus
